Brentson Buckner: William Gholston dropped 15 pounds after feeling he played too heavy last year

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ranked last in the league in sacks last season with just 22 sacks in 2017. They were three sacks behind the next closest team in the Indianapolis Colts. As the Buccaneers look to correct that major deficiency heading into their 2018 campaign, many factors are looked at by coaches and players alike as they search for ways to bolster their output.

Buccaneers defensive end William Gholston had zero sacks last season. It was the only time in his five-year career that he failed to register a quarterback sack despite playing in 14 of 16 games. Gholston decided to look inward as he attempts to ensure that won’t happen again.

According to Jenna Laine of ESPN.com, Gholston told new defensive line coach Brentson Buckner that he felt he played with too much weight last season.

Deveney embraces the opportunity to play his college ball Cheap Official NHL Jerseys close to home. And he has a Rutgers ties as well, playing both football and basketball with incoming freshman Daevon Robinson throughout his high school career at Shawnee (Medford, N.J.).

I would like to play at home. That would be nice, Deveney said. Rutgers has good Cheap Quality Jerseys academics, too. I’m not really sure, I have to weigh my options out. But It’s definitely a possibility because it’s right there and my parents can see me play every time I play.

In the process, he revealed a few behind-the-scenes details that went unnoticed to this point. Here’s what p—ed me off, Johnson said. The Patriots, obviously, I respect their coach, I respect Bill, I respect Tom Brady. But just because the way they won the Super Bowls — the Patriot Way — is that how everybody else is supposed to do the same thing? No, it’s not. And that’s what I got mad at, the arrogance by them. There was obviously some stuff behind closed doors. Their owner talking s— to our owner. Bill talking s— to our head coach (Doug Pederson) before the game. I’m not going to say it, but a lot of s— kinda built up to that.

And I just got tired of hearing about it, man, to be honest. This isn’t the first time Johnson has ripped the Patriots. Before the Super Bowl, he called Tom Brady a pretty boy. In February, he called them a fear-based organization, adding that they act like (expletive) robots. Not to be reckless, but I’d much rather have fun and win a Super Bowl than be miserable and win five Super Bowls, Johnson told the Pardon My Take podcast. But hey, it is what it is.
