An MRI on Monday revealed that Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph needs surgery to repair a groin injury and will miss approximately six weeks, according to Albert Breer of NFL Network.
DeAngelo Williams will become the go-to runner for the Panthers against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but even that’s not a sure thing. The veteran back has 14 carries for 72 yards on the season so far, averaging a team-high 5.1 yards per carry. However, he missed the last two games for the Panthers despite practicing last week. He was inactive against the Steelers.
Stewart left the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second half. He walked off the field gingerly after being tackled by several players. He’s still a possibility to play on Sunday and will be reevaluated on Friday. Tolbert is expected to be out.
If neither Williams or Stewart is able to play against the Ravens, Fozzy Whitaker and Darrin Reaves are the next backs up on the roster, but even Whitaker has been out with a quad injury. This could suggest a roster move or two to add some depth. Lache Seastrunk is on the team’s practice squad.
The best field in the NFL is the Panthers. Theres a NFL shield at midfield to remind people that the League is bigger then any team. I usually give Cam Newton alot of crap but I have to admit it was extremely respectful of him to not engineer any drives in the game that would lead his team to trampling over the midfield logo. Classy move.
Theres not going to be any documentary about Woodheads road to recovery- maybe a Aaron Tippin song, but definitley not a movie.
Ive been able to overlook alot of things about Roger Goodells career, but when he didnt hit Rachel Nichols with a “sup?” to interrupt her nagging questons, that really showed a level of disrespect against women that you dont often see among millonaire men. Do better, Commish.
